To maximize your benefits, it is advisable to direct your marketing to select niche audience. It is a waste of time, energy and maybe even money to market your services to a niche audience that has no interest whatsoever in what you are marketing. Start a blog or site about that, however if you are not knowledgeable about that specific topic, pick one that you are familiar with.  - Register your domain name to 3 years or more, as search engine prefer domain names that are registered for more than one year. 


 - Submit your site to as many search engines and directories as possible. 


 - Get as many sites with similar topics to link to yours as you can. - Update your content regularly, at least twice a week. 


 - Promote your new site by visiting and leaving comments on discussion forums and blogs of similar topics.

Discussion forums are one of the easiest ways to get free traffic. If you have a blog or a site about a topic that you enjoy, and you want to promote it. Check out discussion forums with similar topics. To find forums with identical topics, simply search "forum+ the topic of your blog". For example, if your site or blog is about travel, just type "forums travel" into your browser.

Most of the discussion forums require registration, but some don't. Registration, simply means entering your e-mail address and picking a password. You can learn the ropes by browsing the forum topics and posting answers to anything you like.
